This is the next step in the evolution of the depth sensor samples (including “Azure Kinect and Femto Bolt Samples,” “Kinect-v2 Samples,” etc.). Instead of a depth sensor, this resource uses a regular webcam or video recording as input, along with AI models for depth estimation, body tracking, object tracking, and other streams. The package contains over thirty demo scenes.

The avatar demo scenes show how to use user-controlled avatars in your scenes, the gesture demo scenes show how to use discrete and continuous gestures in your projects, the fitting room demo scenes show how to superimpose or blend the user’s body with virtual models, the background removal demo scenes show how to render user silhouettes against a virtual background, and more.
