Flex Significance – Runtime Optimization System – Unreal Engine

Flex Significance is a runtime optimization system that uses distance and visibility to determine how important (or “significant”) an actor is. Based on this significance level, the system can automatically enable or disable features to reduce overhead and improve overall performance.

Features
Level-Based Optimization: Dynamically adjusts actor behavior based on distance and visibility.
Custom Handlers: Define your own logic for each significance level using Blueprint or C++.
Built-in Handlers: Includes tick, movement, and skeletal mesh optimization handlers.
Blueprint Friendly: Quickly configure and handle logic for significance levels in Blueprints.
Real-Time Debug Tools: Visualize significance levels and distance thresholds directly in the world.
